Liturgical Ministries

Greeters -

Greeters show up early to welcome our parishioners to Mass. Families are welcome to serve together!

Sacristan -

The Sacristan helps prepare for Mass behind the scenes, setting things out and putting away after Mass.

Altar Servers (4th grade +)

Altar Servers help set up for Mass completing task like lighting the candles. They also assist throughout the Mass, including Processing down the aisle with the Cross and Roman Missal. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the Mass and pray in a new way. Open to all young Catholics, 4th grade and older.

Lector -

Lectors proclaim the Word of God at Mass. Spending time with the Scriptures in preparation, they did deeper into God’s Word to bring it to life for the congregation. Phoenic pronunciation book available.

Eucharistic Minister -

Officially referred to as “Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion,” help “Ordinary Ministers” (Priests and Deacons), to distribute the Blessed Sacrament.

Ushers -

Ushers assist during the Mass, helping people fund seats, taking up the collection, and directing traffic at Communion.

Cantors -

The Cantor leads the congregation in song at Mass.

Pianist/Organist/Solo Instrumentalist -

Lead the Parish through accompaniment. The Pianist/Organist/Solo Instrumentalist supports the Cantor and congregation.
