Legacy Planning
Have you ever considered leaving St. Matthew Catholic Community a gift as part of your will planning?
Please consider this idea as a way of supporting the parish long after you are gone.
This isn’t just for the wealthy, but for all. If you would like more information about
leaving a legacy gift to St. Matthew Catholic Community, contact Deacon Rich Wallace at rwallace@stmatthewcr.org.
Making a will isn’t expensive but not having a will can be. There are so many complexities involved for families when there is no will. Outlining how an estate is to be given to loved ones and those charities, including St. Matthew Catholic Community, that you love and already support will likely reduce if not eliminate those challenges.
Have you written a will or estate plan so your children or others won’t argue about
“what you meant to leave them?” When instructions are not clear, there can be
extreme bickering, hurt feelings, and in extreme cases, legal challenges. We
encourage you to talk to those who need to know your specific intention and to be
clear those intentions are clearly written in your will.
We appreciate the thoughtfulness of parishioners who have left bequests to
St. Matthew Catholic Community. These gifts have helped us to build a solid foundation for the Catholic formation of future generations.
If you need help with making these plans please reach out to Deacon Rich Wallace at rwallace@stmatthewcr.org to set up an appointment.
