End of Year Giving Envelopes

Here are a few reminders related to year-end giving:

  • Contributions must be received by St. Matthew no later than close of business December 31, 2025 to be legally included in the parishioner’s/donor’s 2025 giving. One exception to that is:

  • The IRS does allow gifts mailed via the USPS to count as a 2025 gift IF the postmark is dated no later than December 31, 2025.

  • Checks cannot be back-dated. If a parishioner drops a check dated December 31, 2025 (or prior) in the January 4th, 2026 offertory, that gift must be included as part of the parishioner’s 2026 giving based on the date the gift was received

Donate Here!

These envelopes are for folks who give all of their donations once per year, or for anyone who maybe hasn't given as much as they would like for 2025 overall giving. If you prefer online giving, click the “DONATE HERE!” button.

As everyone knows, the inclement weather on some of our weekends this winter has impacted Mass attendance. The giving was down as well. Another reason for this request.

Whatever amount of time, treasure or talent you donate to the St. Matthew Community, we deeply appreciate you and are blessed by your presence.

Thank you for being part of our community. We hope this Christmas your heart will encounter the newborn Christ in a special way.

"Lo! newborn Jesus

Loving great and small,

Love's free Sacrifice,

Opening Arms and Eyes

To one and all."

-Christina Rossetti, except from her third Christmas Carol

Journey in Faith

What is Journey in Faith?

“Journey in Faith” is the Archdiocese of Dubuque’s pastoral planning initiative designed to renew discipleship, strengthen our Catholic communities, and align parish structures to better fulfill the mission of the Church.

This process calls us to trust in the Holy Spirit, transform our local Church, and together move from maintenance to mission.

Informational Sessions: These sessions are to be held across the diocese. It is strongly encouraged that any and all available parishioners attend these informational sessions to learn more about the upcoming changes in the diocese.
