Anointing of the Sick

You are here: Home / Anointing of the Sick

Call the Parish Office if you or a loved one would like to receive the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick.

If you or a loved one are at the Hospital, please contact the Hospital Chaplain first before calling the Parish Office.

Once a year, we have a weekend when we have the Anointing of the Sick during all Masses. This is typically done in November.

The Anointing of the Sick is administered to bring spiritual and even physical strength during an illness. Often times this Sacrament takes place near the time of death but not just limited to just before death. A sacrament is an outward sign established by Jesus Christ to confer inward grace. In more basic terms, it is a rite that is performed to convey God’s grace to the recipient, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

If you have questions about this Sacrament, please contact Father Loecke to discuss it more.
